Gender-Affirming Postpartum Care + Infant Feeding Support for 2SLGBTQIA+ Families

This workshop will not be recorded.

Join us on Sunday, July 28th at 3PM ET for Gender-Affirming Postpartum Care + Infant Feeding Support for 2SLGBTQIA+ Families, a workshop tailored for birthworkers supporting queer families.

This workshop will be a 1.5 hour collaborative learning experience, with an introductory presentation by Rowan, followed by small group discussion and learning activities. We will explore themes of:

  • Language and lens for holistic gender-affirming perinatal care
  • Supporting clients with barriers to accessing gender-affirming perinatal care in various health care settings
  • Supporting LGBTQIA+ families with diverse infant feeding options, such as mixed feeding, co-feeding between two or more parents/care providers, induced lactation
  • Integrating gender-affirming care needs with other critical elements of anti-oppression practices in birthwork to meet and support our clients well

Meet your facilitator!
